The Insight Team
We have a dynamic, enthusiastic and progressive team with diverse backgrounds and financial experience. We have a strong commitment to continual education and training. We believe in recruiting locally and promoting from within. This has enabled us to have a stable team - a real strength of our business.
Our team are empowered to deal directly with clients to enhance the toal experience of dealing with Insight.
Between the two offices, our team consists of three partners, a Business Manager, five Client Managers, one Accountant, two Trainee Accountants, four Client Service Assistants and three Support staff. Our financial planning team consists of a Financial Planner and Trainee Financial Planner.
In 2007 we began the Insight Trainee Program. The Trainee Program is a wonderful opportunity for a local student to further their career in the Accounting industry. They are supported, both financially and with permanent employment by us.
We have a vertical approach to attending to client work. This means that your work will be attended to by the team member that is best able to solve the problem. Our standard team structure will include a Partner, Client Manager/Accountant and Client Services Assistant.

Peter Crothers
Peter Crothers is the founder and a partner of Insight Business and Financial Services. He established the progressive business accounting and wealth firm in August 2000.
Peter is a Certified Practicing Accountant with 18 years experience. He has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). Peter has worked as an Accountant in Goondiwindi since 1991.
Peter is a director of Insight Financial Advisers Pty Ltd – our financial planning business.
Peter’s community involvement has included organisations varying from the Rugby Club and B&S Committee to the Local Ambulance Committee and Toastmasters.
Peter's vision for Insight Business and Financial Services is to provide a full range of services to assist clients in the operation of their businesses and achievement of personal wealth creation goals. He has a strong commercial and financial background and enjoys sharing this with clients.
Peter and his wife Sarah have two raucous sons, Harry and George. Peter remains involved in the family's property at Dirranbandi.

Allan Vickers
Allan Vickers became a partner of Insight Business and Financial Services in 2002.
Al is a Certified Practicing Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). Al is a director of Insight Financial Advisers Pty Ltd – our financial planning business.
Al has been working as an accountant and business adviser since 1992, gaining his experience while working in his home town of Toowoomba and also in Clermont.
Al moved to Goondiwindi and joined the Insight team in January 2001. He returned to Toowoomba in November 2007 to head up our new office there.
Al’s extra-curricular activities have included school committees and the Triathlon Club. As he approaches his 41st year, Al is trying to hold back time by participating in a number of runs including Gold Coast, Peak-to-Park in Toowoomba and the famous Hell-of-the West.
Allan is married to Sonya and they have a son, Robert. Sonya is from a sheep and cattle property between St George and Mitchell.

Myfanwy Rigby
Myfanwy Rigby became a partner of Insight Business & Financial Services in 2006.
Myf is a Certified Practicing Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). Myf is a director of Insight Financial Advisers Pty Ltd – our financial planning business.
Myf has worked with the Insight team since 2002, bringing experience from running her own business on the Gold Coast and from being in the position of Financial Controller of other businesses.
Myf, her husband Greg and children Jordan and TJ have lived in the Goondiwindi area since 2000. Myf successfully balances her career with the pleasures of raising a young energetic family. Myf can regularly be found on the sidelines at junior rugby, little athletics and the swimming club, supporting her children.

Richard Hawker
Richard is the dedicated Financial Planner for Insight Financial Advisers. He is a Director of Insight Financial Advisers Pty Ltd, and is responsible for the delivery of financial planning services to our clients. Richard has been providing advice to clients since August 2005.
Prior to becoming a financial planner, Richard's background was in agriculture. Since 1990 he has managed his family's property "Kilbronae", 35 km north of Goondiwindi on the Millmerran Road. He has a Diploma of Financial Markets through the Securities Institute of Australia, and also holds an Associate Diploma in Farm Management through Marcus Oldham Farm Management College in Geelong, Victoria.
Richard is committed to providing the best in professional advice and personal service to his clients. He believes that a financial plan is a lifelong plan, and is focused on providing ongoing support to secure and grow client's wealth, to enable them to achieve their goals in life.
Richard and his wife, Margot have two daughters Isabella and Victoria. Margot is a dietitian and practices in both Goondiwindi and Millmerran. His interests include the share market and rugby.

Jenny Raymond
Jenny was employed at Insight Business & Financial Services as the Business Manager in September 2008. Jenny brings extensive commercial & financial experience from various positions held in Goondiwindi, with the last six years as a financial controller and business manager with a large civil construction company.
Jenny manages many aspects of the practice including human resources, PR and marketing, seminar and function co-ordination, amongst other administration duties.
Jenny is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. Jenny and her husband Tyson have three children, Webster, Samuel & Sophie.

Natalie Rickard
Natalie joined Insight as the Financial Planning Assistant in December 2005. She comes with a degree in Business and a diverse background within the administration area.
In 2003 she left her hometown of Brisbane and moved to Goondiwindi after marrying Peter who grew up in the area.
Natalie has completed a post-graduate certificate in Financial Planning through Finsia.

Kate Hardy
Kate joined the Insight team in June 2005 as an Accountant but has since been promoted to a Client Manager. She has extensive commercial experience working in Financial and Management Accounting roles for two publicly listed companies in North West of New South Wales, Sydney and Brisbane.
Kate has a degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Marketing and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
Kate grew up in Burren Junction, NSW on a farming/grazing property and has a keen interest in the agricultural industry.

Alinna Butler
Alinna commenced at Insight in April 2007, after deciding to return home after completing her University studies and gaining two years commercial experience, working as the Management Accountant of a publicly listed company in their Toowoomba office.
Alinna is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Financial Accounting and Accounting and Finance for Managers, and also a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales.

Duane Granzien
Duane began working with Insight at our Goondiwindi office in May 2001. In July 2007, Duane and his family moved to Toowoomba to begin working as the Client Manager at our Toowoomba Office. Duane is currently undertaking further study in the Accounting field.
Duane assists with the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns from client records. He came to us with 11 years of banking experience with Westpac. Duane has an extensive knowledge of computer hardware and Quickbooks and Phoenix Accounting software.
Duane and his wife Simone are blessed with twins, Jackson and Abbey.

Tegan Tillack
Tegan started with Insight Business & Financial Services in July 2003 as our Receptionist. Over the years, Tegan has worked her way up to the position of Client Manager.
Tegan is currently undertaking a Diploma of Accounting.
Tegan has lived in Goondiwindi for most of her life and enjoys getting involved in social activities.

Ingrid Lindsay-Smith
Ingrid joined Insight in June 2008 with previous experience in accounting and financial services. She moved to Toowoomba from South Africa with her husband, George and two children, Liam and Sian, at the end of 2006.
She commenced a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) in South Africa, and is now completing her studies through the University of Southern Queensland.

Jazzmin Muller
Jazzmin and her son Caleb moved from the Tweed coast to Toowoomba in 2007. Jazzmin joined the Insight team in July 2008 as a Trainee Accountant.
Jazzmin is studying a combined degree with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management and Business Administration. Jazzmin is aiming to complete the CA program after her Bachelor studies.

Stacey Sheldrake
Stacey moved to Goondiwindi from Zimbabwe with her family at the beginning of 2007. During this year she completed her final year of high school at Goondiwindi State High and in September started part time work as a Junior Administration Officer with our firm.
Stacey commenced full-time employment with us in January 2008 as a Trainee Client Services Assistant. She has since been promoted to the position of Trainee Accountant and is currently undertaking studies through the University of Queensland to attain a Bachelor of Commerce.

Rebecca Cornes
Rebecca Cornes commenced work as a Client Services Assistant in our Goondiwindi office in August 2000, after having previously worked with partner, Peter Crothers.
In 2002, Rebecca left the firm to relocate to her family’s cattle grazing enterprise at Augathella where she ran an independent publishing company for three years.
After spending six months in Ecuador travelling and teaching English in 2007, Rebecca settled in Toowoomba and began employment as a Client Services Assistant at our Toowoomba office in November of that year.

Patrick Ford
Pat joined the Insight team in December 2008 as a Client Services Assistant.
Pat has brought with him many years of experience in Agriculture and from being in the position of Financial Controller for a few businesses. He also ran his own private practice as an Agricultural Consultant and was a teacher with NSW TAFE teaching various business related subjects.
Pat also has an extensive knowledge of Phoenix, QuickBooks and MYOB cashbook files.

Justine Williams
Justine commenced work with Insight in December 2008 as a Client Services Assistant, bringing with her a number of years experience as a Bookkeeper in the accounting field.
Justine previously worked for a large farming company in Zimbabwe before moving to Australia. More recently, she worked at Rugby, assisting with the administration of the business.
She moved to Goondiwindi in October 2005 with her husband Gareth and son Warrick from Zimbabwe.
Both Justine and her family are enjoying life in Goondiwindi and plan to stay for many years to come.

Amy Wren
Amy joined Insight in her final year of high school as a casual Junior Administration Assistant, working afternoons. On completion of school, she was offered a full-time position as an Administration Assistant.
In December 2008, she was promoted to a Trainee Client Services Assistant and has commenced study in a Diploma of Accounting.
Amy is also responsible for attending to ASIC requirements for companies.
Amy enjoys TaeKwon-Do training, and has successfully attained the level of 1st degree black belt in the art. She trains regularly and enjoys travelling to Brisbane for tournaments and more training sessions.

Katrina Bauer
Katrina joined the Insight team in June 2002 as our Receptionist, bringing with her broad administrative experience acquired from several business houses in Goondiwindi. In 2004 she was promoted to the position of Office Manager and is responsible for the office's internal accounting finances and record keeping.
Katrina has lived in Goondiwindi for much of her life and enjoys attending the many social events.

Jessie Farrow
Jessie started at Insight Business & Financial Services in December 2008 as our Administration Assistant.
Jessie comes to Insight with 3 years of experience working in the administration area, after spending 2 years in the snowy areas of NSW, working at various snow resort reservation centres and a year in Toowoomba working at Carpet Affair.
This year, Jessie will be commencing studies through USQ to attain a Bachelor of Commerce. In early 2010, Jessie will be moving from administration and will be starting her role as a Trainee Accountant.

Tanya Blacker
Tanya joined our team in August 2004 as our Receptionist. Prior to joining our team, Tanya had many years experience within the banking industry.
Tanya, her husband and their two daughters, moved to Goondiwindi in 2004 and has since moved to our Toowoomba office in early 2008. They have all settled in very well and plan to remain in Toowoomba for many years to come.
