Peter Crothers

Peter Crothers

Peter Crothers is the founder and a partner of Insight. He established the progressive business accounting and wealth firm in August 2000.

Peter is a Certified Practising Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). Peter has specialised as an accountant, business and financial adviser since moving to Goondiwindi in 1991.

Peter's vision for Insight is to provide a full range of services to assist clients in the successful operation of their businesses, achievement of financial independence and improving their work-life balance.

Peter has a strong commercial and financial background and enjoys sharing this with clients. He has had direct involvement in property developments, farming operations, direct share portfolios, super funds, setting up of new businesses and general business management.

Peter’s community involvement has included organisations varying from the Goondiwindi Tri Club, Rugby Club, MacIntyre Club and B&S Committee to the Local Ambulance Committee and Toastmasters.

Peter and his wife Sarah have two spirited sons, Harry and George.

Allan Vickers

Allan Vickers

Allan joined Insight in January 2001 and has been a Partner since July 2002. He is both a Certified Practising Accountant and Chartered Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Al has been working as an accountant and business adviser since 1992, gaining his experience while working in his home town of Toowoomba and also in Clermont. He started with Insight in Goondiwindi and returned to Toowoomba in November 2007 to head up our new office there.

Al wears many hats; being responsible for the marketing and growth of the new office, working with our new clients in that region, project managing the purchase and development of our new offices at 416-422 Ruthven Street and helping his clients achieve outstanding financial results.

Al’s extra-curricular activities have included school committees and the Triathlon Club. As he approaches his 42nd year, Al is trying to hold back time by participating in a number of runs including Gold Coast, Peak-to-Park in Toowoomba and the famous Hell-of-the West.

Al, his wife Sonya and son Robert enjoy the great outdoors, often embarking on camping trips around southern Queensland.

Myfanwy Rigby

Myfanwy Rigby

Myf has been an important part of the Insight team since 2002, bringing experience from running her own business on the Gold Coast and from being in the position of Financial Controller of other businesses.

Myf joined Peter and Allan as a Partner of Insight in 2006.

Myf is a Certified Practising Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Myf has a proactive approach to assisting her clients in the operation of their businesses, attending to their compliance obligations and generally improving their financial position. Myf specialises in self managed super funds.

Myf, her husband Greg and children Jordan and TJ have lived in the Goondiwindi area since 2000. Myf successfully balances her career with the pleasures of raising a young energetic family. Myf can regularly be found on the sidelines at junior rugby, little athletics and the swimming club, and supporting her children.

Nick Rundle

Nick Rundle

Nick Rundle is a Director of Financial Strategies. He is based in Toowoomba and travels regularly to our Goondiwindi office.

Nick joined Peter, Allan and Myf as a Director of Insight Financial Advisers in July 2011.

Nick has been providing financial and accounting advice since 2000. Nick provides an entrepreneurial and dynamic approach to wealth creation and management.

With Nick's guidance you can expect to explore the state of your financial wellbeing and organisation before moving on to establish long term wealth desires. Nick will work closely with you, and your other professional advisers, to set in place a strategy that will assist you to achieve such desires.

Then, by utilising Insight's extensive experience in ongoing risk and investment management we will work hand-in-hand with you to ensure our strategy is on-track to deliver the wealth you require.

Nick has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), is a Chartered Accountant and has a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Nick balances his work life with the raising of 2 young daughters, playing soccer and being a good husband to Paige.

Geraldine Doumany

Geraldine Doumany

Gerry started with Insight in January 2011 and has taken on the role of Senior Business Adviser in our Business Improvement division.  Gerry is working with businesses to help them in a wide range of improvement, growth and planning issues.  Gerry's clients include many who are not accounting clients of Insight.  Gerry's experience will be invaluable to those in agribusiness, food manufacture and small business generally.

Gerry comes to Insight from her previous position as Senior Export Adviser and National Agribusiness Manager with Austrade, where she had been since 2003. At Austrade, she helped clients with strategic product development for the export market, branding and packaging, market research, marketing strategy and promotion, market entry strategy, distribution and logistics and ultimately identifying buyers, customers, distributors, wholesale agents or retailers.   The position saw Gerry lead or project manage delegations to destinations afar afield as Dubai, Germany, Moscow, Shanghai, Phillipines, Bangalore, California, Kentucky, Brazil and points in between.

From the late 1980's to 2003, Gerry was involved in supply chain management, farm innovation, product development, Government relationship negotiations, water efficiency and market development.  This project management  work was done as both a consultant within Pinnacle Management and as a co-Principal in her own consulting firm.  During this time, Gerry also ran her own cattle stud on the Darling Downs.

Gerry has a Masters of International Business and Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies).  Gerry was awarded a 2011 Australia Day Achievement Medallion for "significant contributions to agribusiness".

Gerry grew up in the Cunnamulla district and has spent her life helping people in regional areas improve their businesses and take them to the world.  She has a vibrant personality and is a great addition to the Insight team.

Alinna Butler

Alinna Butler

Alinna has been with Insight since April 2007.  

Alinna is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the University of New England in Armidale.  Alinna also recently completed her Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

In her role as a Client Manager in the Goondiwindi office, Alinna is taking a leading role in managing workflow and identifying opportunities for clients.  She is proactive in her mentoring of the junior staff and is proving invaluable with her support of the Partners. 

Alinna’s interests include netball, touch football and 20km marathons! Alinna is  a member on the Border Women in Business Committee, which encourages women who are interested in expanding their professional networks and skills.

Kate Hardy

Kate Hardy

Kate joined the Insight team in June 2005 as an Accountant in our Goondiwindi office. She came to us with extensive commercial accounting experience working in financial and management accounting roles for publicly listed companies in Wee Waa, Tamworth, Sydney and Brisbane.

In 2006, Kate and her partner, Shannon, moved to Gunnedah to be closer to family. The move has shown obvious benefits, with the arrival of a bouncing boy, Luke.

Thanks to Insight’s long term commitment to leading edge technology, Kate has remained a valuable member of the team, working ‘remotely’ from Gunnedah.

Kate has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Marketing and is a Certified Practising Accountant. Kate’s skill and dedication have been rewarded with her promotion to Client Manager. She has recently been assisting clients with both drought and flood assistance! She is also working on increasing the presence of Insight in Gunnedah.

Kate grew up in Burren Junction on a farming/grazing property and has a keen interest in the agricultural industry.

Alex  Turner

Alex Turner

Alex began at Insight in September 2009 as a Graduate Accountant after completing a Bachelor of Business (Management) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at Bond University. She is currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant.

Alex grew up on a property outside of Goondiwindi and went away to boarding school at age 9, so she is really enjoying living back in the country after being away for so long.

Alex is enjoying the challenge of discovering the many ways in which a client’s financial position can be improved.

Alex can be often seen at an early morning gym session or horse riding on weekends.

 

Lynda Fitch

Lynda Fitch

Lynda joined the Insight team in April 2002. Since then she has gained a great deal of experience that has allowed her to progress from a Trainee Accountant to her current role as a Supervisor.

Lynda is currently completing her Masters of Professional Accounting through the University of Southern Queensland.

Lynda helps clients with all areas of their compliance obligations. She is our in-house Phoenix expert. Her attitude and demeanour make her a favourite with clients.

Lynda works in our Toowoomba Office.

Natalie Rickard

Natalie Rickard

Natalie joined Insight as a Financial Planning Assistant in December 2005. She is a welcome voice and face to our financial planning clients.

Nat came to us with a Bachelor of Business from UQ Gatton and a diverse background in organisational administration. She has since completed a post-graduate certificate in Financial Planning through Finsia and has progressed to being an Authorised Representative of Insight Financial Advisers; our investment, insurance and superannuation business.

Nat has a passion for travel, which she shares with her husband Peter.

 

Daniel  Spencer

Daniel Spencer

Daniel joined Insight in December 2011 as a Financial Adviser in the Toowoomba office.  Daniel has worked in the financial planning industry for more than six years. During that time he has been involved with the entire financial advising process from administration, para-planning and to more recently, advising.  Daniel has gained valuable experience which he believes gives him the knowledge to help his clients to reach their personal financial goals.

Daniel’s personal experience with share and residential property investing gives him a rounded background to help clients map out their financial future.  Daniel is one of the more social members of the Toowoomba office.  If you get a chance, quiz him on the “TFIF Club”.

Aimee  Lancaster

Aimee joined Insight in November 2010 as an Accountant in the Toowoomba Office.

Aimee has completed her Bachelor of Commerce, with a double major in Accounting and Human Resource Management at the University of Southern Queensland.

She enjoys all sports, especially touch football and has a love for travelling the world. Aimee’s ‘little secret’ is that she loves motocross bike riding.

Aimee’s personal motivation and enthusiasm will ensure she fits in with our team and clients.

Trinh Tu

Trinh Tu

Trinh is a newest recruit in the Goondiwindi office, making  a tree change from Sydney.

Trinh has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Master of Accountancy at the University of Western Sydney.  Trinh is currently working towards her CPA.

Trinh also has a Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service, which she required to when joining the the St John Ambulance, as a volunteer to provide first aid to the community. 

Amy Wren

Amy Wren

Amy joined Insight in her final year of high school as a casual Junior Administration Assistant, working afternoons. On completion of school in 2006, she was offered a full-time position as an Administration Assistant.

In December 2008, she was promoted to a Trainee Client Services Assistant and has since been promoted to Trainee Accountant. She is currently undertaking a Diploma of Accounting.

Amy works directly with many clients and is also responsible for attending to ASIC requirements for companies.

Amy enjoys TaeKwon-Do, and has successfully attained the level of 1st degree black belt in the art. She trains regularly and enjoys travelling to Brisbane for tournaments.

Alice Campbell

Alice began at Insight in November 2011 in our Goondiwindi office. Alice has recently completed her Bachelor of Agribusiness Degree at the University of New England in Armidale. Alice grew up on a property outside Goondiwindi, and is enjoying living back in the district after living away from home while completing her university degree.

While working as a graduate accountant, Alice intends to gather as much experience as she can, potentially leading to further study and moving into either the financial planning or business improvement areas of the business.

Alice’s interests include sports such as netball and all aspects of the agricultural industry.

Stacey Sheldrake

Stacey Sheldrake

Stacey started with Insight, working part-time in administration, while finishing school in 2007. She commenced full-time employment with us in January 2008 as a Trainee Client Services Assistant.

Stacey has since been promoted to the position of Trainee Accountant and is currently undertaking studies through the University of Southern Queensland to attain a Bachelor of Commerce.

Stacey is developing her relationships with a number of clients in a range of industries.

Katrina Lloyd

Katrina commenced in the Goondiwindi office while completing her final year at school in 2010. She has moved from after school work, to Junior administration and is now working in our accounting area as a Trainee Bookkeeper. Katrina aims to commence study in the new year of 2012 to attain a Diploma of Accounting at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE, setting a clear pathway into a Business of Commerce course at the University of Southern Queensland in the future.

Katrina has a strong passion for music & enjoys travelling to watch her favourite bands play live.

Amber Latter

Amber joined Nick and Daniel in the financial service team in March 2012.  Amber had previously been working with the Commonwealth Bank in Toowoomba.  She is starting her diploma in Financial Planning, which will enable her to be a Financial Planner.

Amber moved to Toowoomba from Esk 7 years ago.  Most of her previous experience has been in the retail and hospitality sectore, which has provided her with her exceptional customer service experience and skills.

Amber has three kids which keep her busy. 

Travis  Nice

Travis started at Insight in May 2011. He has joined the team as the Business Administration Manager.

Travis comes to us with a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) and Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). He is currently undertaking studies to become a CPA.

Travis' previous roles have been as a para-planner and financial planner with a boutique advisory firm in Brisbane. Prior to this, Travis had 4 years in the Navy.

Travis will be working closely with the partners in a range of financial, IT and reporting functions. He will also be providing assistance to the financial planning team.

Chantelle Martin

Chantelle joined Insight in August 2011 initially working after school hours.  She obtained a full time position as an Administration Assistant in late November after graduating from grade 12 from The Goondiwindi High School. 

Chantelle has recently completed her Certificate II in business in which will assist her work at Insight. 

 

Tanya Blacker

Tanya Blacker

Tanya joined our team in August 2004 as our Business Host in Goondiwindi. Prior to joining Insight, Tanya had many years within the banking industry.

Tanya, her husband and their two daughters, moved to Goondiwindi in 2004 and has subsequently moved to our Toowoomba office in early 2008. They have all settled in very well and plan to remain in Toowoomba for many years to come.

Lisa Westaway

Lisa Westaway

Lisa joined in March 2010 as our administrative assistant and business host in the Goondiwindi office.  She has worked mostly in the travel business for the past 20 years. 

Lisa is a vibrant and positive member of the team.

Lisa and her fiancé Roger live outside of North Star and enjoy all that rural living has to offer.
