Our History

The start of something different - Goondiwindi - 2000

Insight was founded by Peter Crothers in August 2000.  When he joined forces with Allan Vickers in early 2001, they agreed that their vision was to provide an innovative accounting firm, which not only carried out compliance work, but was also proactive in providing their clients with wealth creation advice.

Since its origin of three staff, the firm has grown to include a third partner, Myfanwy Rigby, the creation of a financial advisery business led by Nick Rundle, and now boasts a team of 20.

Expansion to Toowoomba - 2007

In July 2007, Insight expanded from its base in Goondiwindi, to Toowoomba.  The new office, led by Allan Vickers, has grown to a staff of eight.  This was a logical expansion for Insight with many new and existing clients located in the Toowoomba area. 

Insight is consolidating its position in Toowoomba with the purchase of the firm’s new premises at 416 Ruthven Street.  The property has undergone a major refurbishment with two levels of professional offices, together with 400sqm of street frontage, client parking and retail space just waiting for the ideal tenants.  

And a move south...Gunnedah - 2010

With Kate Hardy's ongoing commitment to the Gunnedah region, it has been decided that Insight will increase its exposure in this booming mining, agricultural and services area.  Kate has been working with a number of clients in the district for four years and is now looking to expand the client base.  You can view Kate's profile on our team page here or contact her on 02 6742 5556.
