Terms & Conditions - 'Find a Senior Accountant' Competition

  1. These Terms & Conditions relate to the "Find us a Senior Accountant and Win a Trip to Hawaii" competition (the Promotion). Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The Promoter is Insight Accounting & Finance ABN 73 351 377 067 of 139 Marshall Street, Goondiwindi QLD 4390 (Insight).
  3. An Entrant is someone who enters the competition by referring an Applicant to Insight for the purpose of allowing Insight to consider the Applicant's suitability for the role of a full-time Senior Accountant with Insight.
  4. An Applicant is a person who would be potentially suitable in the role of a full-time Senior Accountant for Insight.  An Applicant is a person who applies for the Senior Accountant role.
  5. There will be one prize of up to AUD $8,000 worth of travel. The prize may be converted to cash, subject to approval by the Promoter.
  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes.
  7. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any part of the planning, booking or changes to any travel arrangements.
  8. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner accepts the conditions of use of that prize.
  9. To enter, Entrants must refer an Applicant for the (full-time) Senior Accountant Position, during the Promotion Period. Registrations must be made through our website at: http://www.insightcpa.com/page/view/60.  
  10. The Successful Applicant is the Applicant who is offered the role of Senior Accountant with Insight, who accepts the offer and who successfully completes a minimum of four weeks of employment (the initial employment period) with Insight in the role of Senior Accountant.
  11. The Winning Entrant is the Entrant who referred the Successful Applicant.
  12. The Winning Entrant will be notified by email within 14 days after the Successful Applicant completes the intitial employment period.
  13. The Successful Applicant will be subject to our usual Probationary Period.
  14. Applicants may not self refer. Applicants may ask another person to refer them on their behalf.
  15. Each Entrant may make multiple entries for multiple Applicants, however each Entrant may only enter an Applicant once.
  16. In the event that an Applicant is referred by multiple Entrants, the first Entrant to refer the Applicant will be considered to be the Applicant for that Entrant.
  17. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.
  18. Entrants and Applicants must be Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
  19. The promotion commences at 1.00am on Monday 1 August 2016, and ends at 11.00am Friday 28th October 2016 (Promotion Period).
  20. All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Queensland.
  21. The Promoter may cancel the Promotion at any time without notice.
  22. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
  23. The Promoter reserves the right, without recourse, to determine the suitability or otherwise of any Applicant. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize in the event of an Entrant being unable to satisfy these promotion terms and conditions, or for forfeiting or not claiming this prize if it remains unclaimed at 11:00am Friday 25 November 2016.
  25. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations. The Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
  26. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.
  27. The exclusion of liability above does not apply to limit or exclude liability:
    1. for personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the supply of goods or services which are supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business. To remove doubt: third party goods or services, which other than in connection with this promotion, are in the normal course of business supplied by a third party unrelated to the Promotion Parties, are not supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business; and the Promoter’s Conditions of Carriage and general booking conditions (and any exclusions contained therein) apply despite any statement to the contrary in these terms and conditions; or
    2. to the extent it is not permissible at law to limit or exclude liability in the manner contemplated in that clause (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law).
  28. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The names and photographs of the Successful Applicant and Winning Entrant may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless they otherwise notify the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes (including to third parties involved in the promotion and any applicable statutory authorities) and to conduct marketing activities.   29. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
